==City or town categorization==

City:〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://censusindia.gov.in/Metadata/Metada.htm#2c )〕 Towns with population of 100,000 and above are called cities.
Statutory Town (ST): All places with a municipality, corporation, cantonment board or notified town area committee etc.
Census Town (CT): A Town according to Indian census is defined as
(a). minimum 5000 people populate Census
(b). 75% male population working other than agricultural pursuits
(c). Density of population = 400 /km2
Population size-class
*Class I: 100,000 and above
*Class II: 50,000 to 99,999
*Class III: 20,000 to 49,999
*Class IV: 10,000 to 19,999
*Class V: 5,000 to 9,999
*Class VI: Below 5,000
